IMSA 51-3 18 AWG

Designed for use in municipal signal systems as “Loop Detector Wire”. These wires are installed in pavement saw cuts at traffic intersections to detect the presence of motor vehicles. The signal is sent to a traffic signal controller to activate the light changes.

Product Description

Designed for use with vehicle detection systems as “Loop Detector Wire”. This wire is installed in a saw cut to generate an inductive field to detect the presence of vehicles.

IMSA 51-3 withstands temperatures as low as -25 degrees Celsius up to 90 degrees Celsius. The cable also has a voltage rating of 600V. It has applications in both outdoor and indoor systems.
